ETHAN SUTTON

Born in North Carolina and raised primarily in Urbana and Aurora, Illinois, Ethan moved to Minneapolis in the Fall of 2000 to attend the University of Minnesota. Coming from a family with a strong musical background, Ethan has always had his hands on one stringed instrument or another. He first began formal training when he took up the cello at age 8. Since then he has played cello in a number of orchestral groups in Illinois and Minnesota, as well as being guitarist and bassist for various bands. In December of 2004, he joined the SPAGHETTI WESTERN STRING Co. as cellist. He also plays bass for Minneapolis's indie-pop/rock band, Cowboy Curtis. Ethan's influences range from the Classical, Blues, Jazz, Bluegrass, and Rock 'n Roll which he heard growing up, to the punk and indie rock he discovered later on.
